Fly from Singapore to Bhutan

It is very convenient for the people of Bhutan and Singapore to fly as Druk Air and Changi Airport signed memorandum and to start direct flights between Singapore and Bhutan from May 17th 2013. As per memorandum Druk Air will fly to Singapore twice a week. Flight from Singapore to Bhutan is expected to take five hours with a 35 minutes stopover in Kolkata.

Day 01: Arrival
You will fly to Bhutan with a spectacular view world’s highest peak and other mountains, on arrival at Paro our team Asia Senses guide will receive you warmly and transfer you to Thimphu City.Then Visit MEMORIAL CHORTEN –the most impressive stupa built in the memory of Bhutan's third King by the order of Grand Queen mother Ashi Phuntsho Chhoden in 1974.

Day 02: Thimphu – Punakha tours (2 ½ Hrs) 
After breakfast  visit the School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts and crafts used mostly in Bhutan, walk to Folk Heritage Museum which is located next to the school and end with the visit to nearby National Library. After lunch drive to Punakha over Dochula pass, at 3150m, if the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 stupas and enjoy the view and the fresh air. Continue your drive to the warm valley of Punakha.

Day 03: Punakha sightseeing
Morning drive to visit Punakha Dzong (fortress), which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. This is a fine example of Bhutanese rich Art and Architecture. Drive further up to visit the Souvenir Making Center for girls supported by Youth Development Fund. Interact with the students and back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch you can relax in the hotel to enjoy the view and the nature. Or hike for an hour to the temple of Khamsum Yulley Lhakhang or  ChimiLakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus.

Day 04: Punakha – Phobjikha (3 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel, drive to  Phobjikha Valley. The valley is protected for the endangered Black Necked Cranes migrating to Bhutan every winter from Tibet. The drive is very scenic and worth travelling. On arrival visit Gangtey Gompa, the only Ningmapa monastery which is largest in the western Bhutan. Phobjikha valley is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Later in the afternoon go for a nice short hike in the valley. This valley got electricity only recently. Farm house stay optional.

Day 05: Phobjikha – Paro (6 Hrs)
Retrace the drive back to Paro. After lunch visit Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use. Continue further to stroll around the old Paro town and get into some local handicrafts stores. We can even watch the traditional game, Archery match nearby town. Evening back to the hotel and enjoy the facility in the hotel.

Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
Morning drive to the base for the hike (2 hrs uphill) to Tiger’s Nest, top 10 religious sight in the world , overlooking Paro Valley. You will have Lunch in the cafeteria on the way back; it will take around 5 hrs in total. Then rest at hotel and relax. It is better to do hot stone bath after hike as it will make you feel relaxed . Farewell dinner in the town.

Day 07:Departure
Morning transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Our tour staff will bid you farewell at the airport.
