Day 01- Fly to Paro Bhutan
You will see Beautiful Mountains and forest while flying towards Paro International Airport. After your check in Paro Airport our companies guide will greet you. After that you will be taken for lunch and some sightseeings in Paro including Paro fortress, Museum and kichu Lhakhang( Temple)-one of the oldest temple in Bhutan.
Overnight in Paro.
Day 02- Paro to Bumthang flight
Early morning wake up for flight to Bumthang airport ,Bumthang is a very spiritual area of the country, full of religious stories and monuments. Explore Wangdicholing Palace, the former house of the second king of Bhutan. Then walk around KurjeyLhakhang and Jambay Lhakhang monastery, later cross the beautiful River of Bumthang to visit the Tamshing Monastery, constructed in 1501. You will even have an opportunity to visit some cottage industries if you wish to, guide will arrange. Overnight in Bumthang.
Day 03- Bumthang
After Breakfast see the sights around Ura Valley, beautiful landscape of mountains with forest and exotic villages surrounded by farmlands. At Ura-la Pass relax splendid views of Bhutan’s highest peak, Mt. Gangkhar Puensum, over 24,800 feet high. Afterward explore Ura Village and monument devoted to Guru Rinpoche, to view a huge statue of the master and paintings of his life and teachings.
Day 04-Bumthang to Trongsa
On day 4 we drive to Trongsa and cross the 11,000-foot-high Yutong-la Pass to the Chumey Valley, renowned for woolen fabric (Yathra) weaving. After checking in to the hotel we go for bird watching tour may you may find doves, large niltava, and russet bush warblers. Overnight at Trongsa
Day 05-Trongsa to Phobjikha
After breakfast you will explore Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan. Built in 1648, it was the seat of power for centuries, and today is an important administrative building. Later drive to Phobjikha, where lunch will be served Phobjikha valley is a bowl shaped valley on the western slopes of the Black Mountain. It is one of the most important wildlife preserves in the country because large groups of black necked cranes. We will be doing a day hike (1 ½ hours- Gangte Nature Trails) and visit Gangtey(hill top) Goemba which was founded in 1613. Overnight at Phobjikha.
Day 6-Phobjikha to Punakha
After breakfast drive to Punakha ,then Lunch at Punakha, after that we visit Punakha fortress , it was the second of Bhutan’s dzongs and it was the oldest capital of Bhutan, Stroll Punakha market at evening. Overnight at Punakha.
Day 07-Punakha to Thimphu
On day 7 we explore Chimi Lhakhang, known as temple build by Lama Drupkpa Kuenley—one of Bhutan’s famous religious master, he’s nicknamed “The Divine Madman,” for his eccentric behavior. After this continue drive to Dochula pass where you can see spectacular view of 108 temples built in 2005 and then to drive to Thimphu. If our guest wish to go around market, our guide will take you. Day 08- Thimphu
Thimphu has many places to visit like after breakfast we first explore Memorial Stupa mainly dedicated for the late Third king, and the Big Buddha which is 169 ft tall made of bronze and glided with gold, then towards Changangkha lhakhang which is considered as the oldest temple in Thimphu Valley.
After lunch visit Takin Mini zoo and then in evening visit Tashichodzong which has kings office, religious abbot office and some ministries. Overnight at thimphu.
Day 09- to Paro
Early morning drive to Paro and hike to Tigers Nest,which was built in 8th Century by Guru Padamasambhava , he came flying from the east by riding on a tigress then meditated there for 3 months, Hike takes around 5 hours to and fro depending upon your pace. Then explore Paro market and overnight at Paro.
Day 10- departure from Bhutan
Departure at airport and guide will see you off.
